I strongly recommend purchasing it once you are happy with it / feel you can cope with it's operation. Unless you have turned active sync on in Miopocket preferences, you want the wince_core_runtime_arm.zip version.

The Exploroz shop is a good place to start.ġ) Download a trial version of OziCE from here (click). You also need to purchase maps - Ozi does not come with them. We plot tracks at home or on the laptop in the field, dump them and the maps to the Navman and off we go.

The basics are that Ozi CE runs on your Navman in the car and it works well when teamed with the full Ozi Explorer version on your desktop / laptop.

I'm not going to teach everyone how to use Ozi - RTFM on that one perhaps. Last updated post - added info re card formatting, version 3.0 of Miopocket, updated links. This will allow Miopocket to run an X icon top right that will allow you to quit Navman SmartST software.įor full instructions read the MiopocketReadme.html or. EDIT : You can drill a little deeper into the folders and link to SmartST.exe instead. This icon will now launch Navman software. Select "Mobile Navigator" and tap OK, then open "My Flash Disk / Program Files / Navman" and tap on the file "AppStartupSec.exe" and tap OK. It will give you an error - just click OK.

Just choose windows vista.ħ) To get the Navman SmartST software running again : Tap on the Gold ball top left, or maybe the Navigator icon (these are launch icons that need to be configured to launch your software). EDIT : it may ask you to choose a "skin". The unit should perform the hack and bring you up to a desktop with a Windows Vista look and feel.
Insert SD card into Navman (disconnect USB cable if you have it plugged in) and power back on. If it is not FAT32 it will work but many programs will be "broken" and fail.Ĥ) Create another folder on the SD card and rename it to the model number of your unit. You can do this by right clicking on the drive under windows explorer and choosing Format. EDIT : Before copying make sure the SD card is formatted as FAT32. (You can do this with an SD card reader or the Navman's inbuilt card reader via a USB cable). Do not un-rar straight to the SD card.ģ) Copy the "Media" and "MioAutoRun" folders and their contents from the Miopocket package to the root of the SD card.

I am told that SDHC's dont work in these but I have not confirmed it. You need a Navman S Series as noted and a 2GB SD card. Best thing is - to restore to a normal Navman, power down, remove SD Card and power back up. Unbelievable functionality - runs all sorts of programs including games, productivity, a variety of GPS software and is easy enough to setup. I also do not recommend you attempt this if computers are not "your thing". I have yet to kill one but please don't blame me if yours does not work. Note, there is some implied danger in hacking software. (EDIT - Miopocket 3.0 / 50 is now released and working well)

The following instructions will allow you to run Miopocket on your Navman and give it full PDA functionality, including the ability to run other navigation software such as Oziexplorer CE. (EDIT: Please read further down the postings for info on how to hack the newer S series such as the S150). We are working out the hack for those now, although it could be a simple as following the instructions in the forum linked below. The newer slim versions are actually a Mio (as Mio bought Navman). Note - this works on the Navman S Series - S30, S50, S80, S90.
